Blunt: a cigar filled with weed.
Bong: an object which filters smoke through water or other substances. Bongs are also used to get more smoke in your lungs compared to a joint, using pressure within either one or many chambers. Through many years the bong concept has merged into many creative styles and methods making the bong a very popular method of smoking weed.
Bhang: an Indian and Middle Eastern drink consisting of pollen from the marijuana flowers, and ghee (an oily butter).
Barrel: a cylinder-like pipe part of a bong.
Buds: the buds of the marijuana plant.
Chalice: a cone or bowl.
Chronic: the hip-hop term for high-quality weed or potent reefer.
Chiba-Chiba: a black Brazilian form of reefer, usually gummy and compressed into bricks.
CBD/CBN: byproducts of the main phscoactive ingredient in weed: THC. These byproducts are created when the THC degrades, due to over exposure to heat/oxygen. It is beleived that they are responsible for the stoney part of the high, and known to have a direct effect on the physcoactive effect THC has on the smoker.
Chamber: the container or compartment of a bong that contains the water that the smoke will be filtered through.
Cloning: the process of replicating female plants.
Cone: the part of your pipe/bong where you put your weed in.
Curing: the procees of placing the dried harvested buds in a tightly sealed sterile jar or container, which is then stored in a cool dark dry place. Then according to your own preferance, the jar should should be opened for a certain amount of time everday to release CO2 and moisture and this slowly dries the buds, thus improving taste and apparently overall quality.
Dagga: a unique South African term for marijuana.
Died: when the roach can't be smoked anymore, it is said to have died.
Doobie: an old-skool term for joint
Fucked: really stoned or wasted. Usually when you mix alcohole with weed you get really fucked.
Germinate: when a plant firsts sprouts or grows from a seed, it is said to have geminated
Garrek: the South African term for a roach.
Greenies, The Greens, Green-fever: when you become sick from mixing alcohole and weed.
Goofed: one of the best words used to describe how fucking stoned you are.
Harvesting: the process of either cutting the buds off your plant, or to pull it out and therefore killing it which will let the flowers or buds dry for smoking.
Hash, Hashish: resin of the cannabis sativa plant smoked mixed with tabbaco. The resin would have to burnt with a lighter and crushed over taboacco and rolled into a joint. It's said that Hashish is 8 times more potent the flowers of the plant, yet you smoke a much smaller amount. The high experienced is more energetic and more mellow. Hashish may be difficult to get hold of through 'commercial' dealers as it's not as popular than the normal dried flowers.
Heads: the flowers of the marijuana plant. A head consists of lots of buds.
Hemp: all parts of the marijuana plant other than the cannabinoids and flowers
Hotbox: the method of not allowing any smoke to escape from a sealed area like a car or room. Hotboxing is meant so as to re-inhale the weed smoke as so to get more stoned.
Hubbly: an object which filters smoke through water or other substances. Similar to bong.
Hydroponics: the method of growing plants without using soil, instead using medium clay pebbles and a very strict solution of water and various nutrients and fertilizers. Using this method is said to speed up the growth process as the roots have easier access to essential chemicals it needs for growth.
Hybrid: refers to a plant or variety that has been developed by interbreeding two or more varieties or species.
High: the feeling experienced once the THC has taken effect.
Hit: a hit is a desciption of how you would smoke a bong. A full hit comprises of all the weed being burned and all smoke being sucked out of the chamber.
Indica: the smaller more potent cannabis plant that grows easily indoors under less light than plants of the Sativa variety. The plant has extremely wide and fat leaflets with the fingers even overlapping each other in some cases. An Indica will generally produce a hard hitting, tiresome and sedative high.
Joint: a marijuana cigarette. Many variations can be found on making the average joint. The average joint is the most popular method of smoking weed.
Marijuana: the smokeable fowers or buds and leaves of the female cannbis plant.
Mary Jane: another referance to the female cannibis plant.
Node: the area from which a branch extends from the main plant stem. At first, a node will contain a branch on either side (2 branches) and eventually, as the plant matures, the branches will begin to alternate such that each node has just one branch.
Maul, Mauled: to prepare the weed for smoking or rolling. The mauled or prepared weed is the dried flowers or buds of the plant that has been crushed or cut and contains no sticks or seeds.
Papers: the gummed papers that are used to roll joints with. EG: Rizla or Zig-Zag. Some rolling papers are made out of hemp.
Roach: the end of a joint
Reefer: a joint/ another name for marijuana
Roached: when the joint can't be smoked anymore, it is said to have roached or died. Ever heard the expression: 'smoke to the roach'?
Pothead: hmmm...a pothead is someone who smokes a lot of weed and knows alot of the cannabis culture.
Pigs: the police
Pipe: an object sometimes made out of wood that is used to smoke tobacco or weed through without any filtering process. Using a pipe to smoke weed is the most harmful for your lungs.
Sativa: the Sativa plant requires more light and a warmer climate compared to the indica. The Sativa's leaves are long and slender and the harvested bud will usually priduce a euphoric, energetic, cerebral high.
Stoned: the most popular word to describe how one feels when the THC has taken effect, or to be high.
Stoner: a name given to a person who smokes weed.
Tulip: a speciality joint that's rolled into the shape of a tulip, using more weed and giving bigger pulls.
Tip: the point on the plant where the leaves would come out of, at the very top of the stem. Cutting this tip would force the plant's current stem to split into two.
Sea of Green (SOG): the idea of growing lots of smaller plants rather than a few large ones. Using this method will get u more bud in a less amount of time.
Sinsemilla: the flowering tops of seedless female marijuana plants.
Space Cakes: a name given to a muffin/cake that has been cooked with marijuana.
Spliff: a weed and tobbaco ciggarette
Spark, Spark it up: to light a joint or bong or anything that you smoke weed through.
Toke: to inhale marijuana
THC: tetrahydrocannabinol A compound, C-21 H-30 O-2, obtained from cannabis or made synthetically, that is the primary intoxicant in marijuana and hashish, or to put it simply, the chemical in marijuana that makes you high.
Vaporiser: an instrument or object that forces THC to be released from the weed without getting all the harmfull smoke chemicals in your lungs.
Weed: reference to the dried flowers of the female marijuana plant.
Windmill: a joint or object that allows you to smoke four joints at the same time, using a cone or joint to smoke them through.
